Tuktoyaktuk is located about 100 miles east of the Alaska/Yukon border at the mouth of the Mackenzie River along the Arctic Ocean coastline.
Tuktoyaktuk is a fly-in community for 8 months of the year.
Guests may choose to arrive at Tuktoyaktuk via one of the following:
- Aklak Air from Inuvik
- Drive the Dempster Highway from Whitehorse, Yukon to Inuvik and then drive the ice road to Tuktoyaktuk (December to April only)
Husky Lakes is a 2-hour snowmobile drive south of Tuktoyaktuk.
The Tuktoyaktuk pingos are about 10 minutes along the Arctic coast from Tuktoyaktuk.
Mason River is about 180km from Tuktoyaktuk (10 to 16 hours snowmobile ride).
